St Andrew’s Day

About St Andrew’s Day

To celebrate St Andrew’s Day, The National Wallace Monument will be offering free admission into Scotland’s famous landmark.

On Friday 30th November you are invited to immerse yourself in history, and follow the story of Sir William Wallace – patriot, martyr, and Guardian of Scotland.

In addition to free entry, there will also be free presentations from a costumed actor providing an insight into Wallace’s life. Presentations of ‘Scotland’s National Hero' are scheduled to take place at regular intervals throughout the day.

The National Wallace Monument will be open from 10:00am – 4:00pm.

Please Note:
• Last admission is 45 minutes prior to closing.

• Due to the popularity of this free event visitors may have to queue to gain entry into the Monument.

• Presentations which are scheduled to take place in the open areas surrounding the Monument may be rescheduled (or cancelled) in the event of inclement weather.

• Free entry on 30/11/18 only.

Important Information
During the Winter period the opening of the Monument can be affected by adverse weather, and the building may also be closed to visitors on occasions to enable essential maintenance work to be undertaken. Please check for the latest information and updates on www.nationalwallacemonument.com

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for St Andrew’s Day are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
