About Black Beauty

Red Bridge and the Traverse Theatre are delighted to be joining Scotland’s finest artists making work for children, to bring life and invention to this classic tale.

One of the best-selling books of all time comes to Macrobert Arts Centre, in a re-telling that is not to be missed.

In a stable yard, where the smell of fresh dung is never far away, Patrick and Hamish take the bit firmly between their teeth and tell the classic tale of Black Beauty. Saddle up, jump on and gallop headlong in to a story where loneliness gives way to hope and courage saves the day

Performed by Andy Manley (White, My House) and Andy Cannon (Labyrinth, Arthur) with design by Shona Reppe (White, Huff) this re-telling of Black Beauty is not to be missed.
