Integrating Outdoor Learning Opportunities within the Curriculum for Excellence

About Integrating Outdoor Learning Opportunities within the Curriculum for Excellence

Learning for Sustainability is learning to live within the environmental limits of our planet and to build a just, equitable and peaceful society. It is essential for the well-being of all and is an international priority.

Sustainable development education, global citizenship and outdoor learning are firmly embedded with Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) and feature prominently in CfE’s Experiences and Outcomes.

As Curriculum For Excellence (CfE) continues to shape the learning experience of young people aged 3-18, TCV Scotland has developed a new workshop, which aims to provide participants with a basic introduction to CfE and Learning for sustainability.

This workshop is designed to help individuals to understand and use the CfE approach in planning, delivering and evaluating their outdoor programmes for children and young people.

The workshop will include a brief overview of the Curriculum for Excellence Learning for Sustainability and present a range of ideas which demonstrate how your work with schools/youth/and the wider community may be integrated.
