About Robyn Stapleton – Songs of Robert Burns
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
Robyn Stapleton performs the traditional songs of her Scottish and Irish heritage in the Scots, English and Gaelic language. In 2014, she became BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year and in the years since has become one of Scotland’s most respected folk singers. She has performed with leading ensembles such as the RSNO and the BBC SSO.
Following the release of her highly acclaimed second album, Songs of Robert Burns (“5 STARS” – The Scotsman), tonight Robyn will perform the music of Scotland’s national poet, capturing the range and beauty of his words which embrace the universal themes of love, nature, history and humanity. She will be joined by three of Scotland’s finest instrumentalists: Patsy Reid (fiddle), Innes White (guitar) and Alistair Iain Paterson (piano and harmonium).
