About Pecha Kucha: Volume II

Creative Stirling and CodeBase Stirling present:
Pecha Kucha Stirling Volume 2: Love

Pecha Kucha Stirling launches this April 5. Creative Stirling and Codebase Stirling are working together on this creative community building initiative to enable Stirling’s best and brightest, to shine and to connect with creative and tech sector industry professionals from this area and beyond. 2018 is the Year of Young People in Scotland and ideal timing to bring together a team of young creatives to lead PKN Stirling to be a twice yearly high point of the Stirling Cultural Events Calendar.

Our PK Stirling Volume 2 event will explore the theme ‘Love’ – eight extraordinary people will share their personal stories, their passions for their work, their places, their creative specialisms and their ideas. The diverse mix of guest speakers will reflect some of the range of real life experiences that inhabits and shapes the cultural and social landscape of Scotland. PKN Stirling is launching with love, devised to inspire our next generation creatives to learn from those with a passion for doing work that makes a difference to society and artists whose practice brings love into their community and can change the places where they live and work.

Our great line-up of speakers includes:

Jean Cameron of Paisley City of Culture Campaign

Briana Pegado of the Edinburgh Student Arts Festival

Kathryn Welch - Operations Director at Macrobert Arts Centre

Richie Cumming - Occasional artist and DJ, and Outreach Officer at National Galleries of Scotland

Jason Wagner of Ping Creates

Al Seed - Glasgow based performer/director

Angela Hughes - author and performer

Tickets cost £5 with proceeds donated to the fantastic social enterprise Stirling SOUP who distribute funds to great local causes.

Drink and a bite to eat will provided on the night!

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Pecha Kucha: Volume II are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
