Echoes from the Engine Shed

About Echoes from the Engine Shed

Bringing its five-star Edinburgh Festival Fringe show on tour across Scotland, Echoes celebrates the triumphs and histories of the nation’s Superwomen of Science through a blend of music, song, performance and spoken word.

Featuring contemporary Scottish singer and composer Frances M Lynch and Margaret Cameron (BBC Singers), the show will entertain audiences across Scotland as it tours the country, engaging with local communities along the way. This performance of Echoes from the Engine Shed has been specially created in collaboration with the performers, scientists from the Engine Shed and 70 young people from across Stirling. The Scottish ‘Superwomen’ featured include Stirling-born marine biologist Nora Miller, a remarkable early underwater photographer, and prolific composer, Shena Fraser.

Created by the award-winning music theatre company electric voice theatre, Echoes is a Minerva Scientifica project which aims to bring together professional performers with community musicians and school children, to raise awareness of the rich heritage and deep connections between Scottish music and science, and to inspire the next generation of future scientists.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Echoes from the Engine Shed are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
