About Recyke-a-bike winter fundraiser: Cycle Adventurers

We'd love for you to join us for a fun evening to raise funds to help Recyke-a-bike through the lean winter months.

We're putting on some winter warming food (stovies followed by sticky toffee pud!) and we have three fantastic speakers who're giving up their time to help us raise some funds by sharing some of their cycle adventures with us. Our lovely speakers are:

World Bike Girl, Ishbel Holmes and her beautiful rescued street dog Maria.
Ishbel who comes from Stirling is an author and has competed as a velodrome sprinter for Iran. She's been cycling around the world getting up to all sorts, including rescuing streets dogs as she went - she'll be sharing some of her amazing experiences with us!

Emily Carr-Martin will be sharing her experiences of gigging around the Scottish islands of Mull and Arran along with Elspeth Berry - Elspeth ran to all the gigs whilst Emily cycled, carrying all their kit including instruments! Hopefully Emily will also share some tunes from these Music Scotland funded low carbon tours. Unfortunately, Elspeth can't be with us in person but should make some 'appearances' nonetheless.

Katherine Harrison, of our board of directors (amongst other accolades) will take us on the adventure she shared with her lovely dad for his most recent big birthday - cycling the infamous Ventoux! That's a must-do on any fan of Le Tour's bucket list.

Come along for great chat, top tunes and yummy food - what could be better? Oh yes, you'll also be helping Recyke-a-bike to continue our work in the Stirling community and beyond!

Our site is a former Remploy factory so all on one level and really very accessible for a 60's build, please get in touch if you have any concerns or think there is anything we can do to assist you in accessing the premises. If the event is of interest to you but you find the price prohibitive, please contact us in confidence.
