Tranceform Your Habits - Spring Workshop

About Tranceform Your Habits - Spring Workshop

It's that time of year again, we look around and nature is renewing itself once more in it's Spring time ritual. We too can look at our own habits and rituals and understand that there might be some that are unhelpful to us. Perhaps it's eating or drinking or the stories we tell ourselves limiting us from succeeding.

Join us for a Spring time Tranceform Workshop. The first half of the workshop will be hosted by Chris Hartley, sport and performance psychology consultant. Chris will provide an overview of what a habit is and how they form. We will then look at the role of self-confidence and how it underpins habit formation, and other factors that keep old habits stuck in place and prevent new ones from forming. We will then engage in some experiental exercises to help you action plan the old habits you want to kick and the new habits you want to form – so you can leave the session with practical steps to make change happen.

The second half of the workshop will be hosted by Louise Cullen, Mindfulness Coach at Tranceform. She will lead you through mindfulness practices to check in with those habits and those thoughts which regularly arise that might not be helpful. We will use these practices to uncover whose voice it is in our head, what the story is we like to tell ourselves and whether we can bring a bit of reality back to our world to ensure these habits don’t start to take over and overwhelm our daily life. The practices we will share will enable you to understand your own mind and ensure we have a better relationship with ourselves and our thoughts. We will aim to end the session with a relaxing meditation to send you out in to the world feeling at peace and balanced.

This workshop is interactive and relies on those taking part to engage and input. You won't need any particular pieces of equipment but if you have any meditation cushion or stool that you regularly practice with, please bring it along. It's also suggested that you bring a water bottle and a blanket as it can get cold when we are sitting meditating and we want you to be as comfortable as possible.

If you have any questions about the workshop please get in touch directly.

Venue: Honeyrose Cottage, Whins of Milton, FK7 8EP
