This talk will look back at the so-called “Golden Age” of picture postcards prior to the First World War and will examine what they tell us today about the lives, activities and physical surroundings enjoyed by our forebears a century ago.

Gordon Urquhart, born and raised in New York, is an architectural historian working with Historic Environment Scotland at the new Engine Shed facility in Stirling.
