Join me as we step into spring! Come and enjoy the opportunity to connect more deeply with nature.
Spaces are limited, so book your ticket early to avoid disappointment:
HERE
Forest bathing is a nature connection practice that originates in Japan. The walk is a quiet, gentle and mindful experience where you are invited to slow down to the pace of nature and appreciate small moments of beauty and wonder that often pass us by.
As your guide I will bring you as part of a small group (10 people maximum) on a journey to awaken the senses and deepen your connection to the woodland. We start with a guided meditation. You will have invitations to try out new activities to connect with the natural space and connect in as a group. The walk will finish with a short tea ceremony.
Comfort, Safety & What to Bring:
- Wear suitable walking shoes, boots or wellies to the walk - Wear several warm and waterproof layers (including hat, scarf and gloves)
-Water & snacks, maybe a notebook - Your childlike sense of curiosity!
Travel & Transport:
The park is accessible by car, bike and on foot with parking available. There is a limited bus service running from Edinburgh, with the 51 bus departing from the centre and requiring a further 30 minute walk to the park.
The weather:
The walk will go ahead in most weather conditions, including some patches of rain. A variety of weather conditions can offer great new ways to connect with nature. If there is a weather warning listed on the day of the walk, the walk will be cancelled and you will be sent a refund.
Additional Information:
Unfortunately, this trail is not wheelchair accessible. This forest bathing walk is for adults (16+), and babes in arms are welcome, but, the trail is not suitable for buggys. Due to the slow meditative aspects of the walk, we ask you to keep dogs and other pets at home.
No swimming happens on the walk & bathing costumes are not needed! If you have any questions, please contact you guide Rosie on: natureconnectscotland@gmail.com
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
