An unmissable weekend for blushing brides and grooms to be, the premier wedding event will take place at the SEC Glasgow from Saturday 13 to Sunday 14 October.
With up to 300 of the UK’s leading wedding suppliers in attendance, The Scottish Wedding Show has long established itself as the number one destination for those planning their special day. Whether traditional or alternative, vintage or themed, there’s guaranteed to be something for every couple planning their impending nuptials.
Jamie Taylor, Show Director at The Scottish Wedding Show, said: “It’s fantastic to be back for 2018 and this year’s Scottish Wedding Show is shaping up to be truly spectacular.
“We pride ourselves on offering the biggest and best wedding showcase in the country, and it is the perfect event for those in the midst of planning their special day. We’ve got some of the UK’s finest exhibitors lined up with everything from the wedding dress to the catering covered – guaranteed to inspire couples tying the knot.”
The Scottish Wedding Show is delighted to partner once again with David’s Bridal for the upcoming Autumn presentation. The world’s largest bridal retailer, David’s Bridal will be on hand with their selection of beautiful gowns and will be offering specialist styling advice, helping brides-to-be find their dream dress from exclusive designers such as Vera Wang and Oleg Cassini. To learn more about David’s Bridal, or to book a free stylist appointment, visit the website here.
As well as hundreds of exhibitors all under one roof, the glamourous live Catwalk Fashion Show will also be showcasing the finest in bridal couture. Guests can take their seat at a number of shows over the weekend to take a peep at the gowns on offer, with bridesmaid dresses, groomswear and mother of the bride outfits also taking to the stage.
For those making a day of it, visitors can toast the big day with a tipple or two at the Cocktail Bar by Manorview Hotels, with VIP guests able to take advantage of fast track entry, priority seating at the catwalk shows, a money off voucher to use in the Cocktail Bar and exclusive access to the luxurious VIP lounge – where they’ll also receive a complimentary glass of fizz.
The Field of Dreams showcase will also be back for 2018. The feature area is dedicated to bridal parties looking to swap the traditional church setting for the great outdoors, with everything from rustic lanterns, glamping tents and mini prosecco vans on hand to spark inspiration.
Providing the music, the Live Band Showcase will once again be playing host to some of the country’s finest wedding bands and singers, ideal for couples looking to find the perfect entertainment to keep their guests dancing all night long.
Brand new for October is The Wedding & Honeymoon Village, in association with Barrhead Travel. Perfect for couples looking to get married abroad, or in the midst of planning an exotic honeymoon, the leading UK holiday specialist will be on hand to turn dreams into reality.
Doors for The Scottish Wedding Show open at 10am-5pm on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 October, and will take place at the SEC, Glasgow, G3 8YW.
Adult entry for each day is £12.00, with Bridal Party group packages available for £11.00 per person (for groups of four and six). VIP entry is priced at £25.00 and children go free.
