Scotland’s Heroines

About Scotland’s Heroines

As well as being the former Convener of Women’s History Scotland, which promotes the study and research of women’s and gender history, Dr Alison McCall has also been heavily involved in the Women of Scotland project, which records and maps memorials to women across the country. Alison was a member of the Scotland’s Heroines’ selection panel and she has continued to support The National Wallace Monument. During this evening lecture, Alison will share some of the fascinating stories she has uncovered about Scottish women and, as an expert in the field, she will be able to provide an insight into what life would have been like for Victorian career women, at the time when the Monument first opened.

Pre-booking is highly recommended as a limited number of tickets are available. To pre-book email info@nationalwallacemonument.com
