Traditional Storytelling and ‘Wild’ Refreshments
Sorry you are too late, this event has been and gone!
Join Lauren Lochrie of Herbal Homestead and Àdhamh Ó Broin of Scottish Gaelic Consultancy on 30th November at The Blane Valley Inn for the second of two family friendly events!
About Traditional Storytelling and ‘Wild’ Refreshments
Join Lauren Lochrie of Herbal Homestead and Àdhamh Ó Broin of Scottish Gaelic Consultancy, for a magical day that encompasses two events that are family friendly:
Traditional Storytelling & 'Wild' Refreshments
We will continue in the evening, at the cozy Blane Valley Inn. Doors open from 19:30 onwards.
Join us for a spirit-warming, traditional Taigh-Céilidh - in more than one sense of the phrase!
Learn about and delight in delicious cocktails with Lauren (alcohol-free if you so wish), made with local spirits, herbal syrups and foraged ingredients.
Join Àdhamh round the fiery hearth as we explore the beauty of Gaelic language and lore through song, story and the power of the spoken word. Join in should you feel like sharing!
**Children over seven are welcome at no extra fee to both events and must be accompanied by a paying adult**
Book your ticket to Part 1 (Winter Herb Walk), Here.
This is a bilingual event. Scottish Gaelic will be interwoven throughout as a useful tool for enhancing connection with nature and our indigenous heritage.
10 minutes drive from Milngavie Train Station
Each event can be attended separately; however, the full day will better encompass the themes, learning and lore shared.
Participants attending both events are encouraged to join the group for food at the Blane Valley Inn after the walk and before the Taigh-Céilidh, although this is not included in the ticket price.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Traditional Storytelling and ‘Wild’ Refreshments are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
