OSCILLATIONS – As part of Stirling Science Festival

Inspired by science the complex inter-related nature of the physical world, this immersive installation explores the way distant or invisible phenomena can have a tangible effect on our day-to-day lives.

Using a process of data sonification as a starting point, artist Victoria Evans translates the rhythmic, cyclical patterns of the tides into musical notes and couples it with works reflecting seasonal changes, lunar and solar orbits.

By combining sound, video, sculptural and haptic elements, Oscillations brings this experience on an immediate, physical level to the audience, creating liminal landscapes rich in sensory and poetic associations.

We are offering private viewing slot for individual households, please select 1 ticket when booking. This will secure the entire slot for you. Each slot booked is suitable for up to 6 adults from a maximum 2 households (under 12’s exempt)

Artist: Victoria Evans
Produced/Curated: Javier Aregger.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Oscillations are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
