The festive season may be looking a little different, but children can still meet Santa Claus as Scottish events company, SocialEyes launches an online grotto to keep the spirit of Christmas alive!
About SocialEyes Virtual Santa’s Grotto
A virtual grotto is opening its doors for one final date on Saturday 19 December, as research shows one in three parents are missing their annual trip to see Santa because they feel safer at home.
Santa will be signing into Zoom for one more weekend to hear from children about what they’d like him to deliver on Christmas morning.
A team of online elves will be collecting information on every little visitor ahead of the event so sessions with Santa are completely personalised.
Parents can also arrange for Father Christmas to send a special gift in the post and SocialEyes will match donate toys to the KidsOut charity, which provides positive experiences for disadvantaged young people.
In a poll, 60 per cent of parents said they are not planning to take their kids to a physical grotto this year and almost one in three are missing their annual trip to see Santa because they would feel safer at home.
SocialEyes co-founder Lee Beattie said: “We want to keep Christmas magical this year and have pulled a lot of strings to get another space in Santa’s busy diary. The grotto has been really popular so we’re bringing it back to meet demand. Lots of parents are pleased the experience has moved online and it was amazing to see so much joy when the children got to meet Father Christmas himself.”
SocialEyes, which was created as the UK was put into lockdown back in Spring, has been a highly sought-after platform in the build up to Christmas.
As well the grotto experience, it is also offering an exciting array of Christmas party packages hosted by top performers including Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Magical Bones, an interactive baking class with Great British Bake Off’s Ugne Bubnaityte or signing lessons with Olivier award-winning theatre actress, Cassidy Janson.
Every good time created by SocialEyes contributes to a good cause. Each host has committed to donating a percentage of their fee to a charity of their choice. SocialEyes will then match-donate this percentage to its chosen charity.
