We are looking at how language used in school activities can affect children’s performance. We are interested in seeing how children do if tasks are made relevant to them in some way, for example by changing the way the task is phrased. The aim of the study is to see if we can help children learn more effectively by understanding how common school activities, like number problems, are processed. More information about our work can be found on our lab webpage HERE
Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the study is being run online. If you would like your child to take part, you can email us using the addresses above. We will contact you to arrange a suitable time for a video call. All children participating in this study will receive a thank you certificate, and will be entered into our prize draw for a chance to win one of three £25 Amazon vouchers.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
