Online Creative Breakfasts

About Online Creative Breakfasts

On the first Friday of each month, join us for breakfast as we host an informal gathering, online for now, by and for our creative community. Whether you’re a professional practitioner, an art student, or simply enjoy getting creative in your spare time, these events are for you. Meet inspiring creative people, share projects and ideas, and hear from a different invited guest each month about some of their most exciting creative happenings.

This month's Creative Breakfasts Co-Host is Orla Stevens, a visual artist exploring the Scottish landscape through painting and textiles.

Particularly interested in creating atmosphere and evoking a sense of place, Orla’s work looks to both visual and aural qualities of landscape; often working from both imagery and audio field recordings to inspire her work.

Orla will be giving insight into her practice, and talking about the current multidisciplinary project she’s working on: collaborating with musicians and composers to develop new work, centred around heritage, land and seascapes of the North Atlantic.
