Albert Smalls are a series of intimate live music events that will take place outdoors at Stirling’s Albert Halls this summer.
The classic ‘the same sky’, first Horse album was released in 1990. This began a career which still continues to this day, her voice stronger than ever. The actual 30th anniversary was of course last year but all tour dates have now moved 3 – 4 times because of COVID. The tour is now rescheduled to Spring 2022.
The absence of this major tour, and indeed any shows, has left many followers desperate to come to shows. Horse has risen to the challenge and prepared a special ‘trio’ show. She will focus on the songs from this album as well as a selection from the rest of her back catalogue. The songs from ‘the same sky’ are a big part of people’s lives, hopefully this set will go some way to making people very happy.
She has just had the honour of having her portrait painted by Roxana Halls and this has been acquired for the nation and is currently hanging in the National Portrait Gallery of Scotland. Horse is currently working on her next studio album.
Horse is accompanied by Gemma Roberts on piano and Lorna Thomas on bass, both also singing.
Age restriction 14 and over. All under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Service to Your Seat from the bar will be available before the first act, and during the interval.
