Rubber Chicken Theatre: Summer ‘Show in a Week’

About Rubber Chicken Theatre: Summer ‘Show in a Week’

If you're missing theatre, looking for something to do with the kids (or the big kids) over the Summer, or just fancy an outing to something a bit different, why not join us up on the beautiful Holmehill in Dunblane for one of our Summer 'show in a week' performances. Outdoors on our specially built stage, with coffee, toilets, sanitiser and only slightly less singing than the football crowds 😉

Disney's Aladdin: 23rd and 24th July

Based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within.

Matilda: 30th and 31st July

Rebellion is nigh in Matilda Jr., a gleefully witty ode to the the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.

The Wizard of Oz: 6th and 7th August

Click your heels together and join Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and her little dog Toto, as they journey through the magical land, helped and hindered by the Witches of Oz, to meet the Wizard and obtain their heart’s desires. Songs include Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Follow the Yellow Brick Road, If I Only Had a Heart and We’re Off to See the Wizard.

Jesus Christ Superstar: Sun 8th August

Featuring award-winning music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, Jesus Christ Superstar is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary series of events during the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ as seen through the eyes of Judas. Reflecting the rock roots that defined a generation, the legendary score includes ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’, ‘Gethsemane’ and ‘Superstar’.

Aladdin and Matilda are 'show in a week' formats (They're performed by our amazing cast of under 19s, learned, costumed and fully staged in only a week).

For Wizard of Oz they are joined on the yellow brick road by our adult cast.

Jesus Christ Superstar is performed by our adult cast.

Ticket for all shows are available through our website link above.
