Join Vantage Points for some family friendly fun at Bannockburn House on Sunday 22 August, 12-5pm.
The event will offer an opportunity to view the first public exhibition of artwork by Bannockburn and Eastern Stirling’s creative network.
The showcase will include photography, installations, sculptures, textiles and banners, which were created in collaboration with the local community.
The newly established network is supported by Scene Stirling, a place partnership promoting arts and culture across Stirlingshire.
Programme Coordinator Silvia Sinibaldi said:
“One of the highlights of the day will be a woodland art trail in the beautiful grounds of Bannockburn House. There’ll also be creative hands-on activities for all the family, from a treasure hunt and banner-making to sculpture workshops and creating land-art mandalas out of recycled material.
“The event includes a tour of Bannockburn House, which once served as the battle HQ for Bonnie Prince Charlie. Inside the house you’ll be able to view a special screening of the network’s pilot activities which took place back in May, including footage of a contemporary dance performance inspired by the Battle of Bannockburn and filmed across some of the key battle sites.”
The event is free to attend, but slots must be booked in advance on Eventbrite.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
