About Crust For Life - Tarka Dahl and Chapatis
Join us for the next Crust for Life session on Tuesday 26th October from 6.30pm -8pm. This time we will be making Chapati's and some Tarka Dhal.
As with all the sessions - you can make both items or just make one or just use the session as a demonstration and cook later.
Crust For Life is a friendly monthly baking group that meet online via Zoom. You will be sent a link to join after registering or feel free to get in touch with Vicki. Details below.
Full ingredients are below:
Ingredients for the Chapati's
140g wholemeal flour
140g plain flour
1 tsp salt
2tbsp olive oil
180ml hot water
Equipment for the Chapati's
Frying pan
Scales
Bowls
Jug
Measuring spoons
Ingredients for the Tarka Dhal
400g red lentils
2tsp turmeric
2 knobs of butter
2 tsp cumin seeds
1 small onion
3 cloves of garlic
1- 2 green chillies
You can add some extras to the Dhal
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp ground coriander
Small piece of ginger
2 - 3 tomatoes.

Pan
Measuring spoons
Spoon
Sharp knife
