Learn the mindful art of macramé and create your own plant hanger in this 2 hour workshop with Grace. Macramé is a versatile art form using knotted string to create structure and beautiful designs.
In this workshop you’ll begin by learning some basic knot techniques. We will then progress to creating a plant hanger of your own. All materials will be provided. There will be a selection of colours so you can create something to suit your home decor.
What you’ll get:
• Instruction in basic knot tying
• All materials provided
• A plant hanger to take home
• Print outs of the knot techniques
• A new hobby that you can do at home

Beginner Macrame artists
Made in Stirling and our artists are committed to being inclusive and ensuring everyone has a positive workshop experience. Therefore, if you have any access requirements or if there is any information that you believe is relevant to enhancing your workshop experience and you’d like to share this with the workshop leader in advance please add a comment to your booking. Informing us of your access needs means that Grace can prepare adaptations if needed, put in extra breaks and arrange the space so everyone is comfortable.
About the artist:
Grace is an aerial circus performer who, during the lockdown, began macramé as a hobby to improve her wellbeing and has loved it so much she founded her small business A Moment Entwine. When Grace isn’t dangling from the ceiling she makes things to dangle from the ceiling! As well as plant hangers Grace makes bunting, pockets, coasters, curtain ties, hearts, wall hangings and Macraweave landscapes (you can see her pieces in Made in Stirling). Once you’ve done this workshop, you’ll have the skills to develop your own macramé designs to transform your home or create thoughtful gifts.
