About Smoke and Steel: The History of Scotland’s Railways
The railways have helped to shape the Scotland we live in, on the 200th anniversary of the birth of the modern railway in Britain we explore their history. From their construction and the architecture they created, to the connections they built, and their impact on both industry and leisure.
