Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
This course will help you create your own copper foiled sun catcher.
On the day, you will design and draw a pattern for your piece. You’ll be able to choose from a number of colours and textures of transparent or opaque glass which will make up your design frame. You will be taught how to cut your chosen glass and then build your piece to your pattern using copper foil and solder. You will then be shown how to patina, polish and care for your suncatcher.
All tools, materials and consumables are included and our glass suncatcher will then be yours to take home on the day. This course can be quite messy, so wear clothes that can get messy, bring along an apron, and refrain from wearing open toed shoes. Safety glasses and gloves will be provided.
What previous attendees have said:
“5 stars - Exceeded expectations, great teaching, encouragement, excellent resources, opportunity to take home 2 pieces, fab lunch!”
“5 stars - Good atmosphere, informative and supportive but still allowed own creativity. Plenty of materials and equipment”
“4 stars - I enjoyed the creativity throughout the course”
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
