Join Mountain Aid for a fun, friendly and inspiring day filled with talks, outdoor activities, demonstrations and exhibitor stands — all aimed at helping you enjoy Scotland’s hills with confidence.
What’s On:
• Inspiring talks from Lorraine McCall, Mountaineering Scotland, MWIS, ScotWays and local Mountain Rescue teams
• Search & Rescue dog demonstration
• Fun, practical map-reading challenge
• Mountain Rescue vehicles & equipment to explore
• Meet Mountain Rescue team members and chat about their work
• Exhibitor stands from outdoor charities, organisations and trade partners
Whether you're new to the hills or a seasoned walker, there’s something for everyone.
“Skills for the Hills is about equipping people with knowledge while celebrating the fantastic community that supports outdoor recreation in Scotland,” said a spokesperson for Mountain Aid. “With expert talks, practical workshops, dog demonstrations, and exhibitor stands, the event brings together an engaging and enjoyable programme for all who love the outdoors.”
