Perfect for a book-lovers group or if you're looking to learn a new skill in a calm and encouraging setting. You'll be shown and talked through the step-by-step process of learning to carve and then print a design from lino, as well as the tips and tricks to get the best results from the process.
There will be inspiration images for your design provided, however if you wish to plan a design beforehand, you are welcome to bring your own inspiration images along with you. The finished bookmarks will measure 55mm x 170mm, so if you would like to draw out a design before the workshop starts, please ensure that it fits within that size with a 5mm border between the design and the edge of the lino. There will be a choice of ribbon colour to adorn the top of your bookmark, too!
At the end of the workshop, there will be the opportunity to buy a relief-printing starter pack to take home with you, meaning you can continue to lino carve and print from the comfort of home! If you wish, alternatively you can be emailed a full materials list so you can buy the necessary tools in your own time.
Cancellations must be made at least 3 days prior to receive a full refund. If you have any questions or want more information please contact curator@creativestirling.org.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
