Kobe Osaka Scotland

We teach a modern, dynamic style of karate called Shukokai.

Based on traditional Shito Ryu, Shukokai is an effective and practical martial art that teaches students how to defend and attack with devastating power, speed and accuracy.

Alongside Shukokai, we teach Ju-jitsu which uses locks, holds, throws and targeted strikes to defend against attacks. We teach an effective, modern form of Ju-jitsu, suitable for various self-defence situations.

We also offer tuition in traditional weapons, including tonfa, nunchaks, bo staff and sword. And, if improving your fitness is your goal, we can offer fun, instructor-led workouts designed to build strength, power and endurance.

Our classes are taught by professional instructors in a safe, controlled environment. Classes are adapted for different ages and abilities.

Our Bannockburn class is held at at Bannockburn Community Centre on Tuesdays from 6.30-7.30pm. This class will be taught by Sensei Paul Lapsley 6th Dan who started at the age of 7 years old and through the years has won a number of titles such as World, British and Scottish Champion.

Kobe Osaka has produced through the years a lot of medal winning in national and international championships. The club was first established by the father of Scottish Karate Sensei Tommy Morris.

Sensei Paul is also an actor and fight choreographer and, through martial arts, his acting career has extended to television, stunts and films.

Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, train with one of the best in a supportive and disciplined environment.
