We believe bookshops are essential to a healthy culture, where people can enjoy and discover the thrill of reading. We aim to provide a safe space, an oasis of calm, a portal to other worlds, a community hub and a storytelling sanctuary. We are owned, staffed and run by real local people who have a genuine love of books and reading and who love to connect with our customers.

Coffee Shop
Our coffee, reputedly the best in the town, is Columbian whole bean arabica. Sourced from sustainable small farmers and investing in environmentally friendly farming practices.

We are supplied with wonderful fresh sourdough pastries from Wild Hearth Bakery in Comrie and have delicious home baking and cakes from Duck Door Bakery in Saline and Golden Bottom Bakery in Dunblane.

We offer takeaway coffee at 10% off coffeeshop prices if you bring your own reusable cup or you can buy a Huskee cup made from repurposed coffee husks.

We don’t take bookings for the coffee shop so if it’s busy have a browse. We will have a dog friendly outdoor seating area later in the spring (with only guide dogs allowed in the shop).
