Stirling Cocktail Week 2023 takes place from Friday October 6 to Sunday October 15 and is organised by Scottish agency Marketing: After Dark with support from Go Forth Stirling BID and its Independent Stirling initiative.
The new event aims to increase footfall and give Stirling’s economy a boost by offering discounted drinks – including £5 cocktails – plus exclusive deals and perks from retailers in other sectors such as hair & beauty.
More than 40 businesses have already signed up to take part including cocktail bar Meraki, Hotel Colessio, Oscar’s, Kilted Kangaroo, Café Aina, Stirling Distillery, Clan Artisan, FrownDocs, Cold Beer Company, The Wee Wolf Bistro and Rana’s Restaurant.
And over 500 Cocktail Week wristbands have been sold so far via the www.stirlingcocktailweek.co.uk website.
The wristbands unlock details of the discounted cocktails plus perks and offers from all the participating bars, restaurants, coffee shops, hair & beauty salons and independent retailers.
Go Forth Stirling BID Project Director Danielle McRorie-Smith said: “Stirling Cocktail Week should provide a real boost to the city’s hospitality industry and night-time economy and an opportunity to show off all the fantastic bars, restaurants, hair salons, shops and other independent retailers we have.
“It’s about the whole experience of going out for the evening so as well as discounted cocktails, there are other offers from businesses like hair salons for getting ready to go out and restaurants if people want to enjoy a meal out as well as a few cocktails.
“There’s something to suit everyone and it gives customers a chance to try out new venues at a reduced rate while increasing footfall for our business community.”
Stirling Cocktail Week is organised by the team behind the successful Dundee and St Andrews Cocktail Weeks - Marketing: After Dark (M:AD) – who set up the initiative to help struggling hospitality businesses drive footfall into their premises while also supporting Scotland's drinks and hospitality industry charity The Ben.
M:AD co-founder Alice Christison said: “We are thrilled by the response to Stirling Cocktail Week so far and we are very much on course to deliver a sensational event.
“We have sold more than 500 wristbands already and expect to hit 1500 comfortably. Local businesses have really bought into the concept and the offering is looking sensational."
The wristbands are available to over-18s only and for each one sold, a donation goes The Ben which helps hospitality workers in need.
Go Forth Stirling is the not-for-profit company which runs Stirling’s BID (Business Improvement District) and works collectively with the city’s traders to support the business community.
The organisation was set up in 2017 and currently represents more than 600 local businesses with a key objective of delivering projects and services which improve Stirling’s trading environment to benefit businesses, shoppers and visitors.
