Longlist Revealed for Stirling Business Awards 2024
A longlist for the annual Stirling Business Awards has been announced as voting begins to select winners of the 2024 honours.

Ten city centre businesses have been selected for each awards category following a process which attracted more than 1500 nominations.
There are eleven awards categories – including Restaurant of the Year, Charity of the Year and Retailer of the Year – and voting is open now to pick the winners via www.independentstirling.co.uk/awards
A shortlist of three businesses in each category will be chosen once voting closes next month with the winners announced during a ceremony at Stirling’s Albert Halls on Wednesday March 20.
The Stirling Business Awards 2024 are run by Go Forth Stirling, the city’s Business Improvement District (BID), to celebrate and reward independent business owners.
Go Forth Stirling Project Director Danielle McRorie-Smith said: “We are thrilled with the response to our second business awards which we launched to recognise Stirling’s hardworking business owners and celebrate the city’s unique independent scene.
“A wide range of businesses were nominated during the first round of voting and the top ten in each category have been collated and put through to a longlist.
“Now the public can vote for their favourite shop, pub, charity, hair & beauty salon, visitor attraction and other independent businesses from those listed in each award category.
“A shortlist of the top three businesses in each sector will then go through to the final with all the winners revealed at our awards ceremony in March.”
The awards categories include Visitor Attraction of the Year with Stirling Castle, the Tolbooth, Church of the Holy Rude, the Albert Halls and Game of Throwing among the ten initial nominees.
Meanwhile, those longlisted for Restaurant of the Year include Mamma Mia, Nooch Bar and Kitchen, Mint Leaf, Café Aina and Brea.
And among the businesses nominated for Retailer of the Year are Clan Artisan, Europa Music, Stirling Health Food Store, Tinsel & Tartan and Stons.
Further award categories feature Café/Coffee Shop of The Year, Hair & Beauty Business of the Year, Charity of the Year, Pub/Bar/Club of the Year and New Business of the Year recognising businesses which began trading in 2023.
There is also a Business Support Services award for companies offering services such as graphic design and IT consultancy and a Service-led Business honour which includes healthcare firms, solicitors, tailors, property letting companies and more.
The final award is the special honour of Outstanding Contribution to Stirling which was previously won by Creative Stirling and its flagship artists hub, Made in Stirling, at the inaugural Stirling Business Awards.
Contenders for the 2024 Outstanding Contribution award include Stirling Photography Festival, Ladies of the Rock and Stirling Community Enterprise.

Voting for the 2024 awards will close on Monday January 29 with a shortlist released in advance of the awards ceremony.
The Go Forth team are also seeking award sponsors from the city’s business community - including an overall main sponsor and sponsors for each category.

“In return, we can offer a rewarding opportunity to position your brand alongside our high-profile Stirling event.”
The business awards are one of Go Forth’s many initiatives which seek to highlight and showcase Stirling’s diverse range of independent traders.
Go Forth Stirling BID represents more than 600 business owners with a key objective of increasing visitors to the city and devising initiatives to help make it a more welcoming destination for businesses and shoppers.
