Go Forth Stirling’s ‘Share the Love’ campaign encourages shoppers to highlight their appreciation for industrious business owners and send them words of encouragement via a Valentine’s note.
Meanwhile, the organisation is set to light up the Athenaeum on King Street this Friday with a romantic after dark projection show for visitors celebrating Valentine’s Day in the city’s wide range of pubs and restaurants.
Go Forth’s Event Co-ordinator Josie Brown said: “We wanted to introduce some fun to mark Valentine’s Day and give everyone a chance to show the love they have for Stirling’s unique independent businesses.
“We’re running the campaign throughout the month of February where loyal shoppers can go online and submit a `love note’ for their favourite business or organisation to show them their efforts are not in vain.
“Our businesses go above and beyond for their customers and this is a fun way for their clientele to show just how much they are appreciated.”
The Share the Love campaign is open now via - www.independentstirling.co.uk/share-the-love/ - where participants can highlight a favourite business and write a personal note to them.
The note, which can be anonymous, will be shared with the business and highlighted across Go Forth’s social media channels under the hashtag #ShareTheLove.
Meanwhile, a colourful one-minute light show, featuring hearts and Cupid, will be projected onto the Athenaeum on a loop this Friday from 6pm until 11pm.
The initiative follows the success of the spectacular Halloween Light Show which proved a big hit last October.
The ‘Share the Love’ campaign is one of Go Forth Stirling BID’s (Business Improvement District) latest projects aimed at highlighting and celebrating the city’s unique and vibrant independent sector.
The team are also busy organising the city’s third annual Stirling Business Awards which recognise and reward independent traders.
More than 26,000 votes were cast during the selection process for the awards and a shortlist of finalists was announced last month.
There are 11 awards categories covering the city’s shops, pubs, restaurants, service-led businesses, attractions, cafes and more and the winners will be revealed at a black-tie ceremony held at the Albert Halls on Thursday March 6.
Sponsors for the awards include the Thistles and more sponsors are being sought with details of the available packages featured on the BID’s dedicated awards page – www.independentstirling.co.uk/awards/
Tickets for the 2025 Stirling Business Awards, which are hosted by Central FM and feature entertainment from comedian John Thornton, are now on sale and can be purchased via Eventbrite.
Go Forth Stirling was set up in 2017 and currently represents more than 600 local businesses with a key objective of delivering projects and services which improve Stirling’s trading environment to benefit businesses, shoppers and visitors.
