Thistles, Stirling is set to host a spooky spectacular at the shopping centre this October half term. Inviting those from Stirling and beyond, Thistles is encouraging families to visit for a range of free activities in the lead up to Halloween.
Encouraging youngsters to unleash their inner creativity, the centre will launch its brand-new Spooktacular Spider Tree. Taking place outside Next from Monday 20 to Friday 24 October, Thistles’ very-own spider-themed performers known as The Cobwebs, will be bringing spooky drama, surprise moments, and laughter to the creepy-crawly crafts station.
Each day, children can take part in a different activity, which they can either hang on the giant spider tree for all to see or take home to enjoy throughout Halloween.
The Spooktacular Spider Tree will see a range of crafts and frightful performances, perfect for all the family to enjoy. Crafts include foam spider making, dreamcatchers, pom pom making and more.
Taking place on Saturday 25 October at 10:30am, Thistles is welcoming the return of its Halloween Toddler Dash, following its huge success last year.
Leaving from Thistles soft play, children are invited to come along with an adult, dressed up in their spookiest outfit to complete a lap of the mall. There will be three checkpoints along the way where children can collect some Halloween sweet treats.
The Toddler dash is free to take part, but there will be charity donation buckets on the day to support Save the Children for those who are able to contribute.
If creepy and scary isn’t for you, Thistles’ indoor beach will also reopen from Monday 13 to Wednesday 26 October. Young ones can enjoy making sandcastles with 30 minutes of play just £2. All proceeds will go to Thistles’ long-standing charity partner, Strathcarron Hospice.
Gary Turnbull, Centre Director at Thistles, said: “At Thistles, we love delivering events that all the family can enjoy. With the school holidays around the corner and the dark nights coming in, it’s great to be able to provide a free activity for visiting families.
“The Spooktacular Spider Tree is a brand-new edition to the centre this year and we’re looking forward to seeing how customers enjoy it.
“The Monster Dash was such a success last year and we’re delighted to be bringing it back again this year and welcoming those who took part the first-time round.
“Community is really at the heart of what we do at Thistles and providing fun, free and enjoyable events is something we’re very proud of. We all look forward to seeing you soon in your spookiest outfits!”
No prior booking is required for all three events. For more information, please visit https://thistlesstirling.com/events
