Celebrate Galentines Day with Pride and Prejudice at Stirling Castle
This Friday 13th February, Stirling Castle is hosting the perfect Galentine's Day celebration with a special showing of the 2005 Pride and Prejudice film.

The iconic Castle will be transported to the regency period, with costumed performers donning elegant regency era outfits as they welcome visitors. There will be the chance to learn more about the cosmetics of the era and how they would have been used, receive a lesson in etiquette of the era, plus a harpist will be serenading the crowd ahead of the film showing.
Before the film kicks off, visitors are invited to explore the palace, learn more about the regency era, grabbing a drink and some popcorn before settling into the Great Hall for the perfect night with pals.
Gillian Urquhart, Events Manager at Historic Environment Scotland who manages Stirling Castle, said: “I can’t think of a better way to commemorate Jane Austen’s 250th birthday than with this very special Galentines Day showing of Pride and Prejudice! Visitors are sure to have a magical evening enjoying this iconic movie in the historic setting of Stirling Castle’s Great Hall. With performers transporting you back to the regency period as soon as you walk through the castle gates, it’s sure to be a magical evening!”
This film is rated PG.
The Galentines movie night showing of Pride and Prejudice will take place at Stirling Castle on Friday 13 February. Doors open at 6:15pm with the film shoring from 7:15 – 9:30pm. Tickets from £12. For more information and to book, visit historicenvironment.scot
