RCT is proud to present its first ever full length play!
Intolerance collides with lust and superstition in a repressive Puritan community, fueling widespread hysteria and culminating in what would forever become known as the Salem witch trials.
Arthur Miller’s modern American masterpiece The Crucible needs little introduction, drawing parallels with his experience of McCarthy’s anti-communist investigations in the 1950’s.
Venue: Dunblane Christian Fellowship, Stirling Rd, Dunblane FK15 9EX
Creative Director Pamela Mackie said: “As a company with its roots in musical theatre, this is a big step for us, and I really hope that you are all able to join us in Salem - we can't wait to share it with you.”
Pamela added: “The Crucible is powerful, moving, and easy to follow, with themes as frighteningly relevant to our world today as they were both in 1690s Massachusetts and in Arthur Miller's communism-fearing 1950s America.
“I know for lots of us it will be linked with long-ago English essays and battling through it in class. Live on stage it bears little resemblance to a schoolbook text.
“Our theatre is small and intimate, the energy is going to be quite something.”
