Thistles Wolf Pack Kid’s Club

It’s back! The long-awaited return of our free sustainable Kids’ Club, The Wolf Pack is finally here on the last Sunday of every month.

Thistles Wolf Pack Kid’s Club

About Thistles Wolf Pack Kid’s Club

26th February – 26th November between the new time of 12pm and 4pm.

There will be 10 jam-packed, topical kids’ club sessions throughout the year, with another exciting programme. Children will be taught about sustainability, looking after each other, and saving the planet through a series of crafty, educational, and – most importantly – fun events.

Leading the way are the ‘Sustainable Supers’ – heroes that protect the world, are clued up on all things sustainable and reducing carbon footprints. They will be dressed to impress in themed outfits for each event, whether they’re crafting, dancing, storytelling or more!

What’s more, every month wolf packers can enjoy FREE face painting or balloon modelling while our Wolf Pack activities are on so come along for a howling good time and don’t miss out.

Here’s what young pups can enjoy this year…

Sunday 26th February - Whaley Sustainable Crafting
February 19th 2023 is one of our favourite days of the year – National Whale Day! Using recycled egg cartons, the marine biologists of the future will be able to create their own water spouting whale creations to celebrate the largest mammals on the planet! Our Sustainable Supers will also be on the case with marine facts on how we can help support marine biodiversity!

Under the sea creations will be on the face painting menu today – mermaids and sharks galore!

Sunday 26th March - Creepy Critters
March madness will be scuttling into the centre this year and the little critters of Thistles Wolf Pack will be tasked to create their own mini beast wooden spoon puppet to take home! Then, once the puppets have been created the bug parade of butterflies, bumble bees and ladybirds will be gathered to act out spring-tastic tales!

Creepy critters of all shapes and sizes will descend on Thistles to meet and greet the bravest little shoppers.

Sunday 30th April - Pot of Joy
We love recycling and want to reduce our plastic usage this year at Wolf Pack! During this scrummy make-and-take we will supply un-used and unwanted paper tea-cups and get little chicks turning them into bunny chocolate holders… Sweetie giveaways to stock them up is a must too!

Pastel perfect face painting designs will be the perfect addition to this cute and cuddly crafty day.

Sunday 28th May - Pinecone Pals
With the warmer days just around the corner, it’s now time to get back out into nature! Our woodland critters will be made up of lots of natural materials found in the great outdoors, from pinecones to bark and everything biodegradable in between! With baskets of recyclable felt, the cute creatures will be brought to life and ready to take home!

Sneaky squirrels, happy hedgehogs, friendly foxes and bumbling badgers will be creeping on the mall all day (in balloon form, of course!)

Sunday 25th June - Stomping into Summer
A new addition to our crafting capers for 2022 – paint your own cookies! Our deliciously cute dino cookies come pre-iced in a selection of dinosaur species designs and an edible paint pallet per little palaeontologist for them paint their rainbow creations! Our cookies are also baked to order – so not pesky single-use plastic packaging here!

Dino goings-on require dino balloon art! Our talented balloon mastermind will be onsite creating all manner of prehistoric creations!

Sunday 30th July - Natural Clay Creations
Our crafting themes aren’t just sustainable, but the materials we use are too! Our compostable plastic-free playdoh is one of our absolute faves! Children will be tasked with making their own playdoh from scratch using organics, planet friendly materials before creating magical crustation creations to take home!

Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside! Paradise inspired face painting designs will be ready to brighten up the mall!

Sunday 27th August - Yarn & Darn Turtles
It’s time to calm things down a little, as we relax into mindful underwater weaving. With biodegradable lollypop sticks and colourful yarn, children can create kaleidoscopic mini turtle creations to take home. And let’s face it, why would you not want to take one home – they’re adora-bubble!

Bobbing along on the bottom of the beautiful briny sea are our equally beautiful.

Sunday 24th September - Autumnal Awnings
The best season of the year is here – Hello Autumn! With the leaves turning golden brown and the footpaths awash with a crunchy blanket of acorns, pinecones and Conker’s, our hanging wooden decorations won’t be out of place!

Before our woodland creatures head off to hibernation, don’t forget to grab a beautiful balloon creation of your fave cute creature. We love the foxes best.

Sunday 29th October - Loo Roll Monsters
Climate change is scary business, so this Halloween we plan to combat that with our recycled loo roll monsters! With brightly coloured card galore, the whole creepy crew will be on the crafting roster for little shoppers to pritt, stick and create!

Our freaky face painter will be on-hand to help channel mini shoppers into their inner mini monsters.

Sunday 26th November - Scandi-chic
Scandi-chic is a Christmas theme that’s here to stay, so why wouldn’t we want to hop on the no-plastic Christmas tree decoration hype? These wooden slice decs can be turned into all manner of Christmas fave folk; from cheeky elves to cutesy polar bears!

It wouldn’t be Christmas without glitter – so our face painting extraordinaire will be onsite to get everyone into the sparkling spirit!
