Scotland’s biggest and oldest ‘Cut Your Own Christmas Tree’ experience

About Scotland’s biggest and oldest ‘Cut Your Own Christmas Tree’ experience

Duff Christmas Tree Farm (located just 35 mins outside Glasgow) has been a family run business for over 40 years, and for many people a visit to our farm to choose the perfect Christmas tree is an annual tradition that marks the start of the festive season!

We have over 350,000 trees on the farm and with our special Cut Your Own experience you can go into the fields and pick your perfect tree to take home. We provide saws to cut the trees yourself and our friendly team will be on hand if you need any help. We also have a selection of pre-cut trees available in all sizes.

We will be open daily from 9am-5pm from Saturday 25th November - Sunday 24th December 2023

Come along and make festive memories to last a lifetime at Duff Christmas Tree Farm:

- Each weekend there will be local food and drink vendors, including traditional artisan pizzas from Base Pizza, ethically sourced specialty coffee from Fallen Tree Coffee and other delicious treats.

- Visit our Christmas shop to pick up locally made wreaths, candles, mince pies, jams, chutneys and more gifts.

- Make sure to write your letter to Santa and post it from our first class postbox to Father Christmas himself!

Location:
Duff Christmas Tree Farm is located close to the village of Buchlyvie. We are within easy reach of Glasgow, Stirling and much of West and Central Scotland.

The farm is located at Wester Auchentroig, on the B835 (between the village of Buchlyvie and the A81 to Aberfoyle at Ward Toll). Search ‘Duff Christmas Tree Farm’ on Google Maps and follow signs at the entrance to the farm and continue to the white farm buildings.

Full address: Wester Auchentroig Farm, near Buchlyvie, FK8 3PB

There is plenty of parking. Look out for instructions and car parking attendants at busy times.

If you are cutting your own Christmas tree, remember to bring gloves and something to kneel on - this is Scotland after all! We also recommend that you wear wellies as we are on a farm and it may be muddy in the fields.

Dogs are welcome as long as they are well behaved. Please keep a careful eye on them and keep them on a lead, especially around the car park.

Opening Times:
The farm is open to the public daily from 25th November 2023 until Christmas Eve, between 9am and 5pm. There is no need to book your visit - come along anytime to choose your tree.

Price:
In 2023, there will be no increases in the prices of trees. They are the same as 2022’s prices.

Fraser Fir Christmas Tree: 4ft - £35, 5ft - £40, 6ft - £50, 7ft - £60, 8ft - £70, 9ft - £80 - 10ft and above £10 per foot.

Nordman Fir Christmas Tree: 4ft - £35, 5ft - £40, 6ft - £50, 7ft - £60, 8ft - £70, 9ft - £80 - 10ft and above £10 per foot.

Entry is free, there is no additional cost for the cut your own Christmas tree experience.

We would prefer credit/debit card payments, but will still be accepting cash.

Everyone at Duff Christmas Tree Farm can’t wait to see you this Christmas and help you find your perfect tree!
