Stirling Science Festival Fringe
Join us for Stirling Science Festival Fringe this February half term for a taster of the types of activity that will be on offer to enjoy during the larger Stirling Science Festival in October!
About Stirling Science Festival Fringe
Stirling Science Festival will return for a Fringe event during the half term holidays on 16 and 17 February with free drop-in family activities at the Tolbooth aimed at young people from P1-S1.
Glasgow Science Centre's Body Works will be open 10am – 4pm on Thursday 16 February
An interactive touring exhibition that aims to educate children about the human body, where young people get to examine and explore replica body parts and the workings of a body through play.
Sensatronic Lab will be open 10am – 12.30 and 1pm - 4pm on Friday 17 February.
This offers young people a chance to explore a range of physical materials brought together to create an interesting and fun interactive sound experience, by developing a number of prototype digital sound-producing instruments that are accessible to all.
Froglife’s Mapestry Tour is open now until 25 February, Tuesday - Saturday 10am – 5pm.
Whilst at the Tolbooth, visitors can also check out Froglife’s creative project, the Come Forth for Wildlife Mapestry Tour. Twelve tapestry panels have been created by communities Forth Valley with an aim of fostering connections with the natural heritage of the area and local communities through activity whilst creating inter-connected habitats for amphibians, reptiles and other wildlife.
Events are free and drop-in, no booking is required.
