The Scottish Taiko Festival is a celebration of taiko drumming and Japanese culture, with a busy schedule of events on offer for the whole family to enjoy!
The 2nd Annual Festival will take place over the weekend of the 12th -14th of April 2024, with an exciting programme planned in and around the villages of Aberfoyle and Gartmore - located just west of Glasgow.
The 2024 edition will be preceded by the inaugural ''TAIKO GASSHUKU ALBA', which takes place from the 8th to 11th of April. The 'Gasshuku' is an intensive four day Taiko retreat for intermediate to advanced players, led by world-renowned Taiko instructors, Shoji Kameda and Yuta Kato. You can find out more about our special guests here. Registration is open NOW.
After reviewing the hugely positive feedback from last year, we will be tweaking the festival structure, content, and logistics this time around. Our aim is to continually improve the festival year on year to make it as positive and life-affirming as possible.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
