Join our Homesteaders Series and learn how to make your own, non-toxic, personal care items that incorporate homegrown herbs and plants from the wild. This course will cover from scratch, making a body butter or scrub, and deodorant from health promoting, natural ingredients.
About the Event
Learn how to make and take home your own handmade body butter (or scrub), and natural deodorant that actually works! You will work with a variety of raw, natural ingredients that have been sourced locally, and/ or sustainably, including infusing wild and garden herbs, mineral salts, and essential oils into your personal care items.
The day will involve:
- Wild & garden plant identification
- Mindful foraging & harvesting practice
- Herbal oil infusions
- Making a body butter or scrub
- Making deodorant
- Exploring healthful & skin care properties of plants
- Aromatherapy basics
Including information handouts and follow up recipes.
Refreshments provided.
Compost toilet & hand washing facilities on site.
