Join us for an immersive 3 days together of (re)connecting with Gaelic culture, landbased roots, practices and ways of being, hosted by leading language revivalists, tradition bearers, craftspeople and social activists from Scotland and around the world.
During this weekend Gathering you will:
-learn about Gaelic land-based traditions, language and ceremony;
-learn traditional practices for preparing for Beltane and other Celtic seasonal celebrations;
-get the chance to do wild foraging with expert foragers;
-work with -- and eat! -- traditional foods;
-join a movement for the right to access land in Scotland and beyond;
-connect with Indigenous movement leaders from around the world;
-make community and build networks for your own journey forward of living in relationship with the land.
Between workshops and activities we will share songs, food and stories around the hearth and share our visions for what it means to move away from colonial/colonised ways of being, and towards ways of living in right relationship with the land and in solidarity with communities in Scotland and around the world who are defending the land and land-based languages, cosmologies and cultures.
If you are based in Scotland, Ireland, Wales, England or surrounding areas, this Gathering is for you.
If you have ancestry from these lands and live abroad -- in Canada, the USA, Australia, etc -- this Gathering is for you.
If you feel its time to reconnect with your ancestral lineage, wisdom, daily practices, this Gathering is for you.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
