With authors coming to Stirling from Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, the USA, France, Iceland, India and Ireland as well from across the UK, we have a truly international selection of bestsellers for you. Among those gracing the stage are
Peter May, Ann Cleeves, Ragnar Jónasson, Richard Armitage, Louise Minchin, Frank Gardner, Abir Mukherjee, Chris Hammer, Tove Alsterdal, Irvine Welsh, Ruth Ware, and Chris Carter.
On our first evening, we will award the McIlvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Book of the Year, as well as the Bloody Scotland Debut Prize, before the Stirling Schools Pipe Band leads a procession to the Albert Halls for a stellar event with Elly Griffiths and Peter James.
To help us mark Friday the 13th in suitably spooky style, we have a panel featuring three authors – Stuart Neville, Ben Aaronovitch and JD Oswald – who put the super into supernatural and will have your fingernails at serious risk of harm.
We are also bringing back the True Crime Walking Tour, which proved hugely popular in 2023 and visits the scenes and sights of Stirling’s criminal past. There is also true crime in the form of Henry Hemming’s thrilling retelling of the largest murder investigation in British history.
In a lighter vein, we have The Wickedest Link, as eight crime writers battle not to be the first voted off our Friday night quiz show, and there will be criminal Karaoke at the Coo on Saturday night.
From the opening chapter to the final page, with plenty of twists along the way, we’re sure Bloody Scotland 2024 is going to be a thriller.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
