About Remembering Together Stirling: A Celebration

This year-long initiative, led by Scene Stirling in partnership with a talented team of local artists and community groups, has united people across the Stirling area – from Callander to Cornton – to explore themes of healing, nature, and community.

Led by artist Saffy Setohy and funded by Greenspace Scotland, the project has engaged local residents through a series of creative activities that emphasise our shared desire for connection as we emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Timed to align with the changing seasons, these events have strengthened bonds between people and places, with a focus on intergenerational activities featuring dance, music, art and nature.

The celebration will take place at the College's Stirling Campus from 5-8pm. Attendees will have the chance to experience an immersive installation of artworks created with community participants.

The event will also feature a specially commissioned film by local filmmaker Sean Hall, which captures the essence of the project, and the launch of a commemorative book designed by local artist Orla Stevens, with free copies available to take home.

Throughout the evening, guests can explore the exhibition, view the project film, and engage with participating artists and community partners over refreshments. Highlights include a special group dance performance by Go With the Flow and an outdoor ceilidh.

Artist Saffy Setohy commented: “‘Remembering Together’ has given me and the artistic team the opportunity to collaborate with communities in transformative ways, celebrating creativity and the healing power of nature.

“This final event promises to be a memorable evening of reflection and connection, showcasing the incredible journey of the past year.”
