This solo exhibition is an opportunity for Shonah to display her creativity and dedication to the art of glassmaking, resulting in the presentation of a cohesive body of work. Through the exhibition, she aims to highlight the beauty and versatility of glass as a medium, and hopes that viewers will immerse themselves in glass and take a chance to understand the themes and concepts she is exploring within the exhibition.
The exhibition celebrates how far Shonah has come as a glass artist, showing a well-rounded body of work that highlight all her skills in leaded glass, copper foiling, fused glass, and cast glass. The exhibition includes original pieces from her “View from a Window” series, and works that are part of her Forth Valley College degree show, where she graduated with a BA in Arts & Design. She’s excited to use this opportunity to showcase her development and accomplishments within glass.
The exhibition contains five installations that help illustrate Shonah’s journey through glass art and will be on display from the 28th of February, until the 28th of March, with an Opening Reception on Friday 28th February from 6pm - 9pm
To celebrate her exhibition, Shonah has kindly donated an original stained glass reclaimed sash window.
This beautiful piece could be won by purchasing a ticket for £2.50. All the money raised from the raffle is donated to Made in Stirling and Creative Stirling, to help them continue making a space for the arts in the Stirling city centre.
