Established in 1993 Reachout is an innovative and inclusive award-winning charity based in Alloa, facilitating high quality creative opportunities to improve wellbeing.
We use the expressive arts as a vehicle to increase community engagement, raise aspirations, tackle inequalities, and support recovery. Working in partnership with local and international organisations we build stepping stones to volunteering, further education, & employment to empower long term resilience and positive wellbeing. Supporting individuals aged 5 – 80+ years experiencing life’s challenges, mental ill health, neurodiversity, and disability.
Our spacious studio is a warm, safe environment to learn, experiment, and develop creative skills as well as increase confidence, self-esteem and social interaction. With the guidance of professional artists participants co-produce creative opportunities to engage in expressive visual arts, crafts, music programmes, outdoor learning, social support, mutual aid, and self-help.
Over the last 32 years we have collaborated with local and international inspiring artists, partners, and members of our local community who have supported our charity and projects.
‘The Art of Us’, showcases a small selection of artforms undertaken in our studio. We welcome you to enjoy the art, and encourage you to reflect on the creative process behind each work; the friendships that have been developed, the hidden talents that have been unveiled, the smiles that have emerged, the immense sense of achievement that comes with undertaking a process, and completing a work. Exhibiting it on public display, and perhaps most importantly the fun that we have had!
Enjoy!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
