Join us for a fun and festive Christmas Crochet Workshop with friendly expert instructor Cynthia!
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll focus on creating an adorable set of baubles, using the Amigurumi method to create simple spheres that you can customise to your hearts content. We’ll learn how to switch colours to create stripes and patterns, and techniques to embellish the surface of your baubles with dates, names or motifs. We’ll start with an introduction to pattern reading and the magic circle technique, then you’ll work at your own pace, bringing your baubles to life with your choice of colourful cotton yarns. Throughout the session, Cynthia will provide step-by-step guidance, expert tips, and plenty of encouragement, helping you build confidence in your crochet skills while enjoying the process of creating something truly unique. Once you have mastered the basics of crocheting the magic circle and pattern reading you can apply these skills to your other projects, building on your skills to create home decor items or even small toys.
This workshop is perfect for improvers who have completed a beginner course and feel comfortable with a crochet hook, or for anyone eager to enhance their skills in a friendly, supportive, and creative group setting. Come stitch, socialize, and leave with a set of handmade decorations and new crochet skills to treasure!
Outcomes:
● How to hold your hook and material
● How to start a project with Magic Circle
● How to read a US crochet pattern
● How to Amigurumi parts together
● And at the end of the course you will be able to step away with a toy, either completed, or mostly finished but armed with knowledge to complete it in your own time.
