Discover the captivating art of warm glass fusing in evening course with Una Galbraith. Learn the essential techniques of cutting, layering, fusing and slumping glass to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. You’ll explore the properties of glass, experiment with colour and texture, learn how to cut glass, and you’ll complete several projects, learning new techniques each week to incorporate into your own designs and projects.
Over the four weeks, you’ll create several smaller pieces to experiment with the new techniques you’ve been shown, and a couple of larger pieces that can be kept as glass panels for hanging on the wall or slumped into a free-standing shape including curves, waves or candle-holders
Price: £175 (includes tuition, use of tools and kiln, all materials for week 1, clear glass for weeks 2-4, and tea/coffee/snacks).
Please note that you will need to buy more glass for the projects you choose to create in weeks 2-4, which Una will help you with.
Beginners and improvers welcome.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
