Discover the art of glass fusing in this hands-on workshop. Learn the essential techniques of cutting, layering, and fusing glass to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. Guided by Una Galbraith, you’ll explore the properties of glass, experiment with colour and texture, learn how to cut glass. You can choose to focus on a free-standing curve or wave shape that will be slumped (an option not available in Una’s half-day workshop – the price includes materials and multiple kiln firings that are required for this). Alternatively, if you prefer, you can design a few small projects, such as jewellery, drink stirrers, bookmarks, hanging decorations, tiles, or magnets.
With all materials and tools provided, this workshop offers a relaxed and creative environment to ignite your artistic side. Perfect for anyone curious about glass art, this introduction promises a fun and inspiring experience! It’s a relaxed atmosphere where not only will you develop your glass fusing skills, but you’ll also have an enjoyable day out.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners but more experienced fusers are welcome too.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
