Join us at Cambusbarron Library for a captivating evening with renowned wildlife writer, naturalist, and photographer Polly Pullar. Beloved for her deep connection to nature and her extraordinary work rehabilitating Scotland’s wild creatures—from red squirrels to hedgehogs—Polly will share stories from a life spent immersed in the natural world.
Her acclaimed books, including A Scurry of Squirrels: Nurturing the Wild, The Horizontal Oak: A Life in Nature, and A Richness of Martens, offer intimate portraits of Scotland’s wildlife and the landscapes they inhabit. Through her lens and her words, Polly invites us to see the beauty, resilience, and vulnerability of the animals she so passionately protects.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear firsthand from one of Scotland’s most inspiring voices in conservation.
Polly will be joined by Andy Stratton from Cambusbarron Community Development Trust. Andy will be chatting to us about the excellent work the CCDT have been doing in the Cambusbarron’s woodlands, from the Dark Woods Regeneration Project to the Strategy to Protect our Red Squirrel Population.’
