5th - 8th March: Jack
Written by Liam Moffat
Directed by Gareth Nicholls
It's Christmas Day. Our main protagonist is presented with a puppy from his boyfriend and he’s fuming. He never wanted this but how can you say no to a puppy?
Slowly but surely the newly christened "Jack" wears down his resistance, until a tragic event sends him spiralling on a path of self-destruction with booze, hook-ups, and the Virgin Mary.
JACK is a dark comic monologue that explores the struggles of navigating a life of love, loss and finding hope. All with the help of man's best friend.
2nd - 5th April: Hotdog
Written by Ellen Ritchie
Directed by Becky Hope-Palmer
Alone, dressed as a sausage in a bun and armed with only a bottle of lemonade, Hotdog is determined to be the life of the party.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?
Hotdog explores the aftermath of a traumatic event and how it feels to lose yourself when you thought you were only just beginning.
30th April - 3rd May: Bridezilla and the Orchard of Sin
Written by Mairead A. Martin
Directed by Becky Hope-Palmer
‘Bridezilla’ Amber and her fiancé Gary are desperate to find the perfect venue for her their upcoming wedding when the peculiar Lady Valgaria offers up her seemingly ideal estate.
When they visit the estate, things turn bizarre for the couple as Lady Valgaria’s orchard of forbidden apples tests their relationship and sends them on a journey of saucy self-discovery.
Bridezilla and the Orchard of Sin is a fun fantastical comedy about the pursuit of a ‘perfect’ wedding and the tantalising obstacles in the way.
28th May - 31st May: Dungeons, Dragons, and the Quest for D***
Written and directed by Laila Noble
Finn is here, queer, but not very used to it. At some point, between flying the pride flag and learning all the words to ‘Born This Way’ he forgot to fall in love, have his first kiss or…well, anything.
When best friend, and resident dungeon master, Wiley discovers Finn’s woefully unexplored waters they hatch a plan – a quest to find love, or failing that, maybe just a quick fumble around the back of the dragon’s lair.
Dungeons, Dragons, and the Quest for D*** is a new queer comedy about finding love in a hopeless place.... with dragons.
Fully British Sign Language interpreted.
