Come by the Pathfoot Building for a day of creative inspiration as the Art Collection hosts our annual Open Day, celebrating our exhibitions, Human Experience. Our friendly staff will be in the Pathfoot Building from 11:00 - 14:00 to welcome you to the exhibitions and art materials, tea and coffee will be available throughout the day in the Crush Hall.
All are invited to attend, whether you’re a student who visits the exhibitions frequently or member of the public who has never been to the campus before and all ages will be made welcome. All parts of the day are free and drop in, no need to book.

11:00 - 13:00 - Pathfoot Press Drop In
Drop in to see the fascinating Pathfoot Press. A working 19th Century Printing Press, the Pathfoot Press continues to produce material and provides a valuable learning experience for students at the University of Stirling. Join Printer-in-Residence Dawn Hollis for hands-on demonstrations and take home your very own print!
11:00 - 13:00 - Meet the GOSSIP Collective
Come and meet local artist collective GOSSIP as they launch their new exhibition, responding to the theme Human Experience. Grab a cup of tea or coffee and learn about these exciting contemporary works.
12:00 - 12:45 - Curator’s Tour
Meet the Art Collection Curator’s for a tour of the current exhibitions in the Pathfoot Building, Sarah Bromage and Emma McCombie will take you through a relaxed introduction to the Collection and talk through some of their favourite works in the current exhibitions, which include work by Sekai Machache, Ken Currie and Barbara Hepworth.
13:00 - 14:00 - Pathfoot Project Performance
The Pathfoot Project is a yearly collaboration between the Art Collection, The Royal Conservatoire and the University of Stirling Faculty of Arts & Humanities. Students from BMus Composition and MLitt Creative Writing are challenged to create new work, inspired by the exhibitions in the Pathfoot Building. Come and listen to this innovative new work, performed by local musical favourites Nordic Viola. A must visit for anyone interested in new writing and music.
